Frugal is just a fancy word for being cheap

Frugal is just a fancy word for being cheap...and I'm okay with that.

I've had an iPhone 6 for over 2 years now.
Not because I like it, but because I can't afford a new one.
You see, I've been trying to live below my means to knock out my debt for a few years now.
After all, I'm a single mom on a single income trying to single-handedly raise the incredible hulk.
Idk what it is about boys, but they eat everything and destroy everything, but that's besides the point.

Yesterday, I finally made the switch from Verizon to Sprint.
The switch cut my bill down from around $100/month (AFTER a 22% discount) to a whopping $42.90!
You know what's sad?
I have been a Verizon customer since I was 15, so close to 2 decades worth of loyalty right there.
My Papa had cosigned for me when I got my first job in high school to help me establish credit and he signed off of it the day I turned 18.
The company alone had sentimental value to me because I adore my Papa.
Unfortunately, VZ sacrificed the benefits of unlimited data, discounted upgrades, and affordable plans for the sake of branding.
I had to walk away from that.

My NEW company not only gave me a *FREE iPhone 7, but I got free activation fee, unlimited data for $50/month plus my 22% discount which will run around $43/month plus taxes & fees, and a free upgrade to the new iPhone every year.
What?!
You simply can't beat that price!
My only regret is not doing this sooner.

*Info on the free--This phone has an 18-month lease for $27.09/month. HOWEVER, if you trade in your iPhone 6 or 7 phones, you get a $27.09 credit added back to your bill each month.
Keep in mind, activation and approval are credit based.
See more information on this deal at Sprint.
