NYC New York Color City Proof 24HR Eye Shadow Review
I received this product for free from +Influenster However, all opinions are my own
I was a bit hesitant to try this product simply because the shade is darker than I am used to wearing.
I usually wear golden tints in powder form because they're lighter and not as dramatic.
This eye shadow came in a dark gray shade.
I don't want to look like a clown or a prostitute, but was curious how a 24hour eye shadow would hold up on my lids, so I gave it a shot.
Initially, the application felt more like applying clay.
It was thicker than I'm used to and tended to cake itself along the creases despite advertising that it doesn't crease.
I outlined my eye lid creases and lightly shaded the actual eye lid.
Then, I tried blending it all in with my finger tip, so it wasn't so dark.
After that, I applied my eyeliner along my lash lines.
I did like how my black eyeliner held its color on my lid after applying the NYC eye shadow.
The eyeliner looked darker, actually.
My eye shadow had a very obvious contrast to my skin tone, but was still subtle enough to give me a somewhat natural look.
I wasn't too fond of the dark shade, but wouldn't mind trying the golden tints especially for summer.
